- CTHD was honoured as the best film by Toronto Film Critics (news, winner list). Michelle was the runner up for the best actress
- CTHD is nominated as the best foreign language film for the 2001 Golden Globe Awards, which will be presented Jan. 21 (list of nominees)

- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was named the best film of the year 2000 last Saturday by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association
- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon gained more than U.S. 1 million last weekend for its only 31 screens in New York and L.A, and ranked #13 at box office nationwide. It's going to come to more cities this coming Friday. Get in line early!

- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon box office: though only having been released in 16 theaters in U.S. (NY) last weekend, the film made amazingly $686,657 in its opening and ranked #15 nationwide (while other movies are showing in thousands or at least hundreds of theaters). It ranked #8 in Canada box office for its only 9 screens. (Links: U.S. Canada )
CTHD will start its limited release in L.A. this Friday (Yay I will be in the line early before the tickets are sold out!) and it will expand to other cities from Dec. 22. to next January. To check when it comes to your city, go to the CTHD official site.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is nominated in 12 categories, including best picture, best director, best actress, best script, best cinematography, best action director, best original score, best editing, etc. Michelle and Zhang Ziyi are both nominated for the best actress. The awards will be given at Dec. 2nd.

time flies! now it's also the time to celebrate the second anniversary of Michelle Yeoh Web Theatre. our beloved Michelle looks great as ever in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - see it at the first chance you can grab!
also, we're getting more Michelle movies - yay! The Touch (Media Asia) starts shooting this year. Mint Condition (MGM) will start early next year. hang on, we fans! :-)

At its first anniversary, Michelle Yeoh Web Theatre has completed all of the 20 Michelle movies up to date.
