the 53rd British Academy Film Awards

Michelle, a Best Actress nominee for her performance in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", attended the 53rd British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA, the British film industry equivalent of the Oscars) with director Ang Lee. The film was nominated in 14 categories, and won the Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Film Music and Best Costume Design at the BAFTA awards. Michelle accepted the award for the film composer Tan Dun.
